Welcome to Angela Yates Photography
Finding beauty and peace in nature and wildlife.
Welcome to Angela Yates Photography. I’m a lifelong photographer whose first love is nature and wildlife photography, particularly coastal scenes. I love to make the most of natural light and scenery in whatever I shoot.
After many years working in secondary education I have changed career to become a photographer and writer. As a trained teacher I am able to provide friendly lessons on ‘getting off auto’ for new and improving photographers.
My ongoing local photographic project 'Colours of Moor Pool’, documents the nature and scenery of our beautiful conservation area in Harborne, Birmingham.Previously exhibited at the Anchor Gallery, Harborne, photos from the collection were used in the 2019 and 2020 Moor Pool calendars with some of the proceeds donated to Moor Pool Heritage Trust. I am proud to contribute pictures to the Moor Pool Heritage Trust’s work.
I am a stock photographer for Alamy, Adobe and Shutterstock images. My photographs have featured in Wild Planet Photo Magazine, New Nature magazine, Birmingham Mail and on the album artwork of Liverpool band Ella Guru. My writing has been featured in Canon EOS Magazine.
I am a member of the Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers.
I’m available for commercial and portrait shoots of all types.
I use a Canon 5D Mark IV camera, Canon professional L-series lenses and Manfrotto accessories.
If you like any of the images you see on this website, all are available for purchase. I’m happy to print giclee prints myself using a Canon Pro-10S pigment printer.
